The Quest for Reality-Based Answers
We often get traumatized in our relationships with others when we try to draw from their behaviors some definition of life around us, our own worth, or how we need to react in the future to avoid such pain. The reality is that people are either acting from a place of illusion, delusion, confusion about who they are and the nature of reality, or they are coming from an increasingly awakened state. Trying to draw reason from something that is not based on reason, but by a complete disconnection from reality will never bring reality-based answers.
"Trying to draw reason from something that is not based on reason, but by a complete disconnection from reality will never bring
reality-based answers."
When we can recognize that a person is living from a state much as if they were in the middle of a dream or nightmare, but not knowing they are in a dream or nightmare, we can know that we just need to leave it be. Anything we try to do or say will only be incorporated somehow into their dream state and, as such, will be distorted to fit the dream.
No one’s dream is about us. It is about them and how they are seeing the world from their current state. When we can see this, we can return to an undisturbed view of ourselves. ~Karin M. Keyes
