Love Is Where We Have To Stay
When we resent others for the way they are treating us, it only weakens us. It doesn’t bring us closer to the light. It brings us back into survival mode and darkness. Let people be imperfect. Let them be awful. We have no choice. “Not standing for it” because we know what is real, does nothing but add ammunition to their darkness or confusion. Let it go. Let yourself grieve if you need to.
We are far better off being able to see others clearly than with rose-colored glasses, but that doesn’t mean we should ever move into a place of condemnation. Our energy always needs to be in love. Love for ourselves and for all others.
This holds true for much larger situations, as well. There are horrific things going on in the world; situations beyond our ability to comprehend at times. We need to remain in a place of love. Our thoughts have power. We need to feel love for those being harmed, and we need to maintain our belief in the power of love and truth.
We can’t afford to move back into the darkness in response to other people's actions. We can't afford to move into hate. Love is where we have to stay, making our selves stronger and stronger through this. We are not in battle. We need to be the solution from a place of solidarity and wisdom. We need to let ourselves grieve. We need to let the reality in that we are all of one family and to know that the nightmare others are living in is real. But we need to keep moving forward in the returning to ourselves. This is the only way we can build a future. ~Karin M. Keyes
